Leidos and Analogic to Consolidate Airport Security Screening Technology

Leidos and Altaris have established a joint venture combining Leidos’ Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) with Altaris’ Analogic.

The arrangement is intended to consolidate capabilities in security screening and imaging technologies used in airports, border control operations and critical infrastructure.

The new structure will bring together detection systems, imaging platforms, manufacturing capacity and engineering expertise within a single US-based enterprise with international operations. The aim is to support the development of screening technologies and improve operational efficiency across research, production and deployment.

The joint venture is expected to focus on next-generation screening systems, including increased use of advanced imaging and artificial intelligence-based approaches. Combining the two businesses is intended to streamline development processes and support the transition towards more integrated screening technologies.

Under the agreement, Leidos will contribute around 1,500 employees and approximately 625 million USD in projected 2026 revenue to the joint venture. Leidos will retain a significant minority stake. The new entity will operate under the Analogic brand.

The transaction is expected to complete in the second half of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
